Riviera Operations
In this first phase, the raw skin is subjected to chemical and mechanical processes to prepare it for chrome tanning. In the next phase of tanning, the skin transforms from a perishable materials to a durable and long-lasting product.
During this and the subsequent re-tanning processes, different types of articles can be obtained.

Finishing
It includes a set of operations that bring out the particular properties of the hides, such as brightness, elasticity, gloss and resistance to dirt. This is also the phase wherein the processes and different equipment such as spray, icing, pad and roller are used.
The Finished Product
The final steps leading to the finished product involve three steps:
1. Trimming - to even out the skin based on the client’s request
2. Measurement of the same

The Classic Chrome Production Process Scheme Includes:
- Incoming raw hide
- Beam house operations: conservation, planting, liming and depilation
- Preparation for tanning: liming, soaking and degreasing, pickling, basification, pressing, splitting, fattening
- Re-tanning phase
- Dyeing
- Drying
- Finishing phase: staking, sanding, spraying and ironing
Production takes about 6-8 weeks to complete.
